BONDA DELIGHT – Our soul food with a musical twist!

Potato (smashed and boiled) – 4
Onion – 1
Green Chili – 4
Ginger (grated) – 1 tbsp
Red chilli – Half a spoon
Turmeric powder – quarter tsp
Cumin powder – quarter tsp
Baking soda – A pinch
Garam masala – quarter tsp
Asafoetida – A pinch
Coriander leaves (Chopped) – 1 tbsp
Besan powder – 5 tbsp
Oil to fry

Heat few tabelspoon of oil in a shallow pan and add green chilli, onion, ginger, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala, asafoetida. Add the mashed potato and mix with salt to taste. Once the mix is done, make small balls and keep it aside. In a separate bowl, mix besan with salt and mix with water until lumps are completely removed. Heat oil in a deep frying pan, dip the potato balls in the besan mixture and fry in the hot oil. Remove from heat once golden brown and serve with chutney or ketchup.
